2024
On Sunday, October 6, the Wooster-Orrville NAACP will host its annual Freedom Fund Dinner, commencing with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. This year's event will feature an in-house Soul Food Dinner and a Silent Auction, with tickets priced at $60.00 per person.
The distinguished keynote speaker for the evening will be Rev. Thomas L. Bowen, White House Senior Advisor for The Office of Public Engagement. The theme of this year's event is "Community Engagement/Save Our Democracy!"
The proceeds from the Freedom Fund dinner and online auction will contribute to funding college scholarships for local students of color. To date, we have awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to deserving students, thanks to the generosity of individuals like you and local businesses who share our vision of equality and a robust democracy for all.
